Michael retired from the US Army as a Combat Medic in 2017. He serves as a Senior Medic Instructor for Global Training Institute in the Armed Forces Advanced Trauma Training programs in multiple locations throughout the US.  He is also GTI’s Charitable Events Manager and a range safety officer. His background includes service in municipal and state police where he served as a patrolman and later as an undercover narcotics agent/SWAT medic.  He has served in Mosul, Iraq in uniform as well as working as a security and medical support contractor in multiple middle east countries and with FEMA following the Katrina disaster. He is married to his wife of 33 years, Shanda, and they have two adult children. He enjoys spending time traveling with his wife and his hobbies include scuba diving and tactical shooting.
