Bio
Colby began as a career firefighter in 2012 after completing the Alabama Fire College Recruit School the same year. He earned EMT-B in 2013 and worked with Blount EMS as well as Lifeguard Ambulance Service. He earned A-EMT through Wallace State Community College while working with Guntersville Fire Department and West Blount Fire District in 2015. While employed with Vestavia Hills Fire Department (2017-current), he earned his Paramedic through Wallace State Community College in 2019. He also holds many certifications through the Alabama Fire College, including Apparatus Operator, Pumper, Aerial, and Mobile Water Supply. Outside of work, Colby loves to spend time with his family. He and his wife Jessica have been married for eight years (together for 10). They have two boys, Camden (7) and Cohen (4). He coaches them in sports and spends any other free time outdoors.
