Bio
Philip Metz spent six years as a Certified Flight Paramedic with Air Methods Corporation where he provided critical care air transport to the critically sick and injured. He recently retired as the Medical Division Chief at Okaloosa Island Fire District, where he managed their Advanced Life Support program. He has been actively involved as an educator, providing training in many of the prehospital medical and trauma subject matters. His interest in education has included medical training of the rescue crews at Talladega Super Speedway, where he is one of the original NASCAR Level III trainers, as well as a past member of the NASCAR Pier Review Committee.
Philip has two grown boys and three grandchildren. His favorite activity is sailing, and he has been racing sailboats his whole life.
